We did not go to quarrel with neighbors: Prime Minister

News desk, The CNN :

On the Rohingya issue, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that we have given shelter to more than one million Rohingya refugees for humanitarian reasons. Negotiations are underway to send them back to Myanmar. We did not quarrel with the neighbors. We are trying to solve this problem through discussion.

He said these things during the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Day program at Pilkhana headquarters in the capital on Monday (March 4) morning.

The Prime Minister said that besides protecting the border, BGB is doing various tasks with great responsibility, including prevention of smuggling, drugs, trafficking of women and children. BGB is the ever vigilant watchman to protect our motherland. Besides, whenever there is a problem inside the country, there are various incidents starting from arson. Even then, BGB members stood by the common people and kept the ground to protect their lives and property.

He said, I heartily congratulate those who have been awarded various posts today in recognition of their heroic and meritorious work. This is how you show your skills. May we give this medal more and more. Discipline is the main driving force of an army. Never disturb the order. Follow the chain of command.
