Today is the last day of BNP’s blockade program in the fourth phase

Monday is the last day of the two-day blockade called by BNP and other parties in the fourth phase. On Sunday, the first day of the blockade, attacks, vandalism and arson occurred in various parts of the country.

The BNP called for a three-day blockade on October 29 to protest the government’s resignation and one round of elections under a non-partisan government, the attack on the BNP’s general meeting and the arrest of its leaders and activists. Some like-minded opposition parties supported this program of the party. Later, Jamaat-e-Islami also announced the same program. After this program, BNP called for a two-day blockade program on November 2. Later, Jamaat followed the path shown by BNP. And on November 8, the third phase of the siege began and ended last Friday. And the fourth round of blockade will start yesterday and end today.

No long-distance buses left the capital on the first day of the fourth phase of the blockade. The number of vehicles in the capital was also less. In support of the blockade, marches were held in different parts of the country including Dhaka. Yesterday, 152 platoon members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) were deployed in Dhaka and neighboring districts to maintain law and order situation.

On October 28, BNP’s rally in Dhaka broke up in the middle of a clash between police and activists. On October 29, the day after the announcement, they observed the BNP strike throughout the country. A three-day blockade program was given from October 31 with a break of one day. On Sunday (November 5) from 6 am for 2 days, the third phase of the blockade program was held for two days on November 8 and 9. Today is the last day of the 2-day blockade in the fourth and third phase of the BNP and similar opposition parties.
