The manager of Kohinoor Chemical was killed in a road accident

The whole city is wet with heavy rain. Small and big vehicles are running in between. Balur has been crushed to death by the wheels of sand trucks during road construction due to high speed of vehicles on wet roads.

The accident happened in front of Prime Medical in Rangpur metropolis on Thursday (December 7) around 8 o’clock in the morning. The house of deceased Lutfar Rahman, regional manager of Kohinoor Chemical, is in New Babupara village of Sadar Upazila of Nilphamari district. His father’s name is said to be late Akbar Ali.

Eyewitnesses said that it has been drizzling since Thursday morning. At around 8:30 a.m., a truck full of sand was speeding from Badarganj direction in front of Prime Medical College Hospital on Badarganj Rangpur Parvatipur Regional Road in the metropolis and the sand truck hit a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction. The person riding the motorcycle died on the spot after being crushed by the wheel. However, the truck quickly fled the scene. Later local people rescued him and took him to Rangpur Medical College Hospital where the duty doctor declared him dead.
His body has been kept at Rangpur Medical College Hospital and it is said that after the legal process, it will be handed over to the family.

Officer in-charge of Rangpur Metropolitan Kotwali police station Mahfuz said that in the morning in front of Prime Medical College Hospital on Rangpur Badarganj Road, the motorcycle rider ran away with the wheel of a sand truck. Local people rescued him and brought him to Rangpur Medical College Hospital. The deceased was working as Regional Manager of Kohinoor Chemical Company. However, the police are working to catch the truck and the driver, he added.
