Shakib submitted nomination papers for Magura-1 seat

National cricket team captain Shakib Al Hasan has submitted his nomination papers as Awami League candidate for Magura-1 (Magura Sadar-Sripur) seat.

He submitted nomination papers to Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Abu Naser Beg on Thursday (November 30) around 1:15 pm. Besides, Awami League candidate for Magura-2 constituency Biren Shikder has submitted nomination papers.

District Awami League President AFM Abdul Fattah, General Secretary Pankaj Kumar Kundu, Vice President Abu Nasir Bablu and Awami League leaders and activists were present.

Earlier, on Wednesday (November 29) afternoon in Magura, cricketer Shakib Al Hasan started his journey in the field of politics in the presence of thousands of people, soaked in love. At this time, Shakib promised to replace Magura if elected.
