Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina voted at Dhaka City College center in Dhanmondi of the capital. Then his daughter Saima Wazed Putul voted. On Sunday (January 7) at 8 am, the first vote of the 12th National Assembly election was casted in this center.
Dhaka City College Center Dhanmondi, Hazaribagh, Newmarket and Kalabagan Police Stations have fallen in Dhaka-10 Constituency. Film actor Ferdous Ahmed is contesting as Awami League candidate in this seat.
The total number of voters in this election is 11 crore 97 lakh. Among them, 6 crore 7 lakh 71 thousand 579 are male, 5 crore 89 lakh 19 thousand 202 are female and the number of third gender voters is 852. Total polling stations are 42 thousand 103. 2 lakh 61 thousand 912 polling booths. Voting is done on ballot paper.
