Newly elected members of the 12th National Parliament have taken oath. The swearing-in ceremony was held on the morning of Wednesday (January 10) in the first level oath room of the East Block of the Sangsad Bhavan in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar.
Speaker Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury recited their oath. Before this, the speaker takes the oath himself as per the rules.
Later, the MPs were asked to sign the oath paper. The next step is to ask the Registrar of Parliament to sign. After taking the oath, the new MPs signed the oath form in front of the Speaker.
Newly elected members of Parliament entered the National Parliament building from morning to take oath. They entered through gate number 12 of Sangsad Bhavan. The Speaker entered the oath chamber at 10:08 AM.
