Dhaka’s Third Labor Court Judge Begum Sheikh Marina Sultana announced the verdict on Monday. At this time, the chairman of Grameen Telecom and the Nobel laureate economist Dr. Muhammad Yunus.
After announcing the verdict, the court granted bail to all in 5000 bonds.

The lawyer for the state said that this judgment is not against any Nobel laureate, but against the Gramin Telecom executives. We are satisfied with the verdict.
Lawyer for the defendants, Barrister Abdullah Al Mamun, said that they “did not get justice” and will go to the High Court against the verdict.
On September 9, 2021, in the Third Labor Court of Dhaka, Arifuzzaman, the labor inspector of the Directorate of Factories and Institutions, became the plaintiff. He filed this case against four people including Yunus. In the case, it was alleged that the Shramik Kalyan Foundation did not deposit certain dividends, did not make the jobs of the workers permanent, did not monetize public holidays.
