President Md. Sahabuddin said, there have been many conspiracies to humiliate Bangladesh, to frame corrupt, to humiliate and embarrass the government. The conspirators tried to divert the Padma Bridge corruption allegations.
He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion meeting on the occasion of International Anti-Corruption Day-2023 at Shilpakala Academy at Segunbagicha in the capital on Saturday (December 9) morning.
During his tenure as a commissioner in the Anti-Corruption Commission from 2011 to 2016, the President recalled various incidents including the Padma bridge false scandal and said that there were conspirators in the ACC on purpose and still there. I will tell the current chairman once about these who tried to upset or embarrass us.
He also said, I am happy with the success of the Anti-Corruption Commission, but I am saddened by its failure. At the policy-making level of the ACC, everyone needs to have a sound understanding of the law.
