Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, they (BNP) know how to incite. They did this in 2013 – they did it in 14th year, they did it in 15th year and they also did it to prevent this election. They set fire to buses, cars, launches, trains. Action is being taken against those who committed the arson and those who ordered it
He said these things at the discussion meeting of Awami League at Kotalipara Upazila Parishad on Sunday (January 14).
He said that people could not vote in any election after 75 in Bangladesh. Awami League has ensured people’s right to vote. After coming to power, Awami League ensured the right to vote. People were able to vote properly on January 7. The people of the country did not allow the BNP to thwart the election. People have won through this election, democracy has won.
Sheikh Hasina said that mother and son were burnt like coal in the train. No human can bear this sight. That’s why no matter how much they shout and scream, the people do not respond to their words and there is no exemption for those who have committed such heinous acts. Action is and will be taken against them.
