The court has ordered two people to be hanged for the murder of Moshiar Rahman of Harinakundu Upazila in Jhenaidah. At the same time, both were fined one lakh rupees.
Monday (March 4) at noon Senior Sessions Judge. Nazimudaula announced the verdict.
Those sentenced to death are Liton Biswas and Md. Monirul Biswas Rentu. They are residents of Adarsh Andulia village of the same upazila.
According to the details of the case, on May 26, 2014, the accused seriously injured Moshiar Rahman by publicly cutting and beating him. Who later died while undergoing treatment. In this incident, his younger brother Matiar Rahman became the plaintiff and filed a case against 8 people in Harinakundu police station. After the investigation, the police filed a charge sheet against the accused in the court. The court today ordered the two accused to be hanged. The other accused were acquitted as the charges against them were not proved.
