The admission process of six private medical colleges has been suspended, said Health Minister Dr. Samant Lal Sen. He said this at a press conference at the Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute on Thursday (February 8) morning.
The medical colleges whose admission process has been suspended are Uttara Aichi Medical College, Northern Medical (Dhaka), Northern Medical (Rajshahi), Shah Makhdoom Medical College (Dhaka), CARE Medical College and Savar and Nightengale Medical College. Among these, the registration of Care Medical College and Savar and Nightengale Medical Colleges has been cancelled.
In this regard, the Health Minister said, no irregularities will be tolerated. These medical colleges are not suitable for admitting students. The Private Medical College Act has been passed.
