Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder said, efforts are being made to reduce the price of rice and wheat. The price of rice has already started to fall.
He said these things after a meeting with Alexander Mantitskar, the Russian ambassador assigned to Dhaka, in his office at the Secretariat on Thursday (January 18).
Sadhan Chandra Majumdar said, in the ongoing winter, especially due to severe fog, the seed bed is being destroyed and there is a problem in drying the paddy. Meanwhile, operations will be conducted in 8 departments to control the price of rice from today. Strict action will be taken if any stock is found during this time.
