Today Thursday (January 11) the oath of the new cabinet led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Bangabhaban. Prime Minister will distribute their duties after taking oath.
President’s press secretary. Zainal Abedin said on Wednesday evening, President Md. Sahabuddin will administer the oath to the new cabinet members.
The spokesperson of Bangabhaban also said that at 7 pm in the Durbar Hall of Bangabhaban, Cabinet Secretary Md. Mahbub Hossain will conduct the swearing-in ceremony of the new ministers. On this occasion, Bangabhaban has prepared to organize a program with about 1400 guests and prominent people.
On January 7, the 12th National Assembly election was held in 299 constituencies. Awami League got 222 seats, Jatiya Party got 11 seats and independent candidates got 61 seats and Workers Party and Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (Jasad), a member of the 14-party alliance led by Awami League, got one seat each. Bangladesh Kalyan Party has won one seat.
Meanwhile, there have been major changes in the new cabinet. 30 members of the outgoing cabinet did not get a place in the new cabinet. 14 people are joining for the first time. There are 37 members of the new cabinet.
