Israeli attack on Gaza started again

International Desk, The CNN :

The temporary ceasefire, which was due to end at 7am local time on Friday (1 December), has since expired. But neither side has announced an extension to the ceasefire. As a result, there have been reports of renewed conflict in Gaza.

In a statement issued shortly before the end of the ceasefire, the Israeli army announced the resumption of war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip. It claimed that Hamas violated the ceasefire agreement by firing into Israeli territory. In addition, Israel has also said that it will repel a rocket fired from Gaza.

Another news outlet, Al Jazeera, reported that Israel launched massive airstrikes in Gaza immediately after the end of the ceasefire.

The Israeli military said a rocket attack warning signal or siren sounded in some Israeli areas near Gaza minutes before the deadline for the ceasefire. However, there was no immediate comment from Hamas.

Earlier, on Thursday (November 30), the seventh day of the ceasefire, 30 more Palestinian prisoners were released from Israeli prisons in exchange for the release of 8 Israeli hostages. A total of 240 Palestinian prisoners have been released in exchange for 105 Israeli hostages.

It was hoped that a new ceasefire would be extended or that negotiations for a permanent ceasefire would intensify. But before that a new conflict started.
