The United Nations has called to ensure that the people of the country can vote freely in the twelfth national parliamentary elections of Bangladesh Besides, the organization said not to send observers to the election
This was announced at the regular press briefing of the United Nations on Wednesday (November 29).
In the briefing, Human Rights Watch reported that the ongoing crackdown by law enforcement agencies on opposition leaders and critics in Bangladesh has made a free and fair election impossible. In response, Stephanie Dujarric, spokeswoman for the JT Secretary General, said, “No, we don’t have anything like that.” The United Nations is not sending any observers to the election We do not do this unless there is a specific or special reason.”
