Hamas-Israel ceasefire extended by one day

International Desk, The CNN :

Zionist Israel and Gaza’s Islamist resistance movement Hamas have agreed to extend the ceasefire by one more day. The accord came just 10 minutes before the expiry of the second phase of the Qatar-brokered ceasefire. The ceasefire was supposed to end at 7 am local time today (Thursday).

A cease-fire will allow Gaza’s civilians to be freed from Israel’s barbaric aggression for another day, and perhaps save a few more lives. Israel has repeatedly said that it will start fighting again when the ceasefire ends. Gaza resistance fighters have also announced that they will retaliate.

The Israeli military said it had recently received a list containing the names of several more Israeli prisoners. Hamas will release these prisoners during the new ceasefire. However, the Israeli military did not say how many people are on the list. Earlier yesterday, Hamas released 16 more prisoners. Among them, 12 are Israelis and the rest are foreign nationals. Israel also released 30 Palestinian prisoners yesterday.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken visits Israel amid new Hamas-Israel ceasefire. After the start of the Gaza-Israel war on October 7, he visited Israel three times. It is known that he will visit the West Bank this time.
