Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader said that there is no more space for BNP in the election. The leaders of the party wasted that opportunity. They have said the last word. There is no place to call. The decision on the alliance will be announced on the last day of withdrawal of nomination papers.
On Thursday (November 30), he said these things in response to various questions from journalists at the political office of the president in Dhanmondi of the capital.
He said, those who will make the election should submit their nomination papers. If there is any seat-sharing issue within the coalition, there is still time for that. Nomination papers should be submitted first. There is no confusion here. Why should we nominate those who cannot win elections? Who can’t be pulled, can’t be lifted with a crane, why should we give such a candidate. We don’t know if there was confusion.
Obaidul Quader said, it is up to them whether the UN will send observers or not. The names of more than a hundred observers, including the United States, have come to the Election Commission. As much confusion was created about the election, many thought that foreign observers would not come. they are coming
Jatiya Pati’s chief patron Roshan Ershad is not electing but his party is electing. May be due to personal or physical reasons, he is not coming to the election. Those who will make the election, must submit their nomination papers. There is still time for alliance seat sharing. There is time till December 17. By discussing this, seat sharing can be discussed. We have not broken the alliance, he said that there is an alliance.
Obaidul Quader said in response to the question that he said there are surprises in the national election, we have to wait until the election to see. Jatiya Party and other parties have come to the elections – they are a surprise. Trinamool of BNP is coming to the elections, these are surprises. Next election will be a good election. There is no opportunity to say election without voters. In no way will it be less than the elections of developed countries. BNM is not Awami League. There will be an election within the Awami League. The European Union (EU) wants fair elections, and so do we.
Obaidul Quader said that the rebel candidate and the independent candidate are not the same. There is no anger in the coalition. Many have bought nominations. Eligible candidates will be considered to win.
Obaidul Quader said that the people did not respond to the hartal-blockade arson movement called by like-minded people including BNP. No matter how hard you try, all efforts are in vain. It will be a pretty free election.
Obaidul Quader also said to the leaders and activists that for the sake of fair elections, I am urging them to follow the rules of conduct of elections.
