Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdullahian has warned America that no one will be able to stop the spread of the Gaza war unless Israel stops its ethnic cleansing campaign in the besieged Gaza Strip. He issued this warning in an interview given to the Financial Times on Friday.
Amir-Abdullahian said that since the Israeli genocide in Gaza began on October 7, messages have been exchanged between Iran and the US government through the Swiss Embassy in Tehran, which protects US interests. In response to the statement of the Americans, we said that Iran does not want the spread of this war. But with the policies America and Israel are pursuing in the Middle East, if they don’t stop the crimes against the West Bank and Gazans, anything can happen. In that case, a large-scale war would become inevitable.
Iran’s foreign minister also said that the Americans have claimed in a message to us three days ago that they want a cease-fire in Gaza and they have made efforts to achieve this.
