Peter Haas, the US ambassador to Dhaka, said that the US will remain neutral in the upcoming parliamentary elections in Bangladesh. The United States does not favor any political party ahead of the upcoming national elections in Bangladesh.
He also said that the message we have given to all political parties, we have said the same here. The United States will remain neutral on the upcoming elections. We are not for any political party. We want a peaceful, free and fair election.
He said these things while talking to reporters after a meeting with Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader at the Secretariat on Wednesday (November 15).
Peter Haas also said, calling on all political parties to seek opportunities for dialogue without preconditions as well as reducing violence for a fair electoral environment.
