Army Chief General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed has left for Singapore on a three-day official visit to attend the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) General Assembly-2023.
He left Dhaka for Singapore on Sunday (November 12) night.
As the president of the Bangladesh Olympic Association, he will attend the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) General Assembly-2023 in Singapore on Monday and tomorrow, Tuesday. He will also vote in the CGF Executive Committee elections.
According to the Directorate of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the CGF General Assembly will be attended by representatives of National Olympic Committees of various countries.
The Army Chief will also participate in the ‘Workshop and Regional Meeting’ and ‘Presentation and Pre-Assembly Discussion’ held there. In addition to this, he will participate in bilateral meetings with the representatives of the National Olympic Committees of different countries and exchange views on various issues of mutual sports development. He will return home next Thursday after the tour.
