The head of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s nuclear agency, Mohammad Islami, said that Israel has admitted that it has nuclear weapons. He also called on the international community to condemn an Israeli minister’s threat to drop nuclear bombs on the Gaza Strip.
The head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization said that once again Israel has admitted to possessing nuclear weapons. Most importantly, Israel has violated international law and the UN Charter by threatening to bomb innocent people in Gaza with nuclear bombs. Although some countries have condemned this threat by Israel, now is the best time for international organizations and the United Nations to break their silence and take strong action against Israel.
Islami also called on the International Atomic Energy Agency or IAEA and its Director General Rafael Grossi to take an independent and decisive step within the nuclear disarmament framework.
