Eight people were killed in the attack by gunmen on a passenger bus in Pakistan. Apart from this, 26 people were injured. It is said that two army personnel are among the dead. Al Jazeera reported this information in a report on Sunday (December 3).
The report also said gunmen attacked a bus on the Karakoram Highway near the northern Pakistani city of Chilas, killing eight passengers. Around 26 people were injured in the attack. After the attackers opened fire on the bus, it collided with a lorry coming from the opposite direction.
Regional government spokesman Muhammad Ali Zohar said the fatality occurred after attackers opened fire on the bus on Saturday evening. Later, the injured were rescued and taken to a local hospital.
Gilgit-Baltistan Police Spokesperson Ghulam Abbas said two army personnel were among the dead. Some of the injured were shot.
