Five people have died of dengue in the last 24 hours across the country. With this, the number of dengue deaths in the country this year stood at 639.
This information has been informed in the regular report on dengue signed by Jahidul Islam, in charge of the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health on Tuesday (December 5).
The report also said that 124 of the 669 people who were hospitalized with dengue from Monday (December 4) to 8 am on Tuesday were residents of Dhaka. Besides, 545 people outside Dhaka. On the other hand, 2 people died in Dhaka and 3 people outside Dhaka in the last 24 hours.
From January 1 to December 5 this year, a total of three lakh 15 thousand 57 people were affected by dengue throughout the country. Among them, 1 lakh 8 thousand 528 residents of Dhaka, and 2 lakh 6 thousand 529 people outside Dhaka.
Among the dengue patients, 686 people have been discharged from the hospital in the last 24 hours. Among them 154 residents of Dhaka and 532 outside Dhaka.
