157 platoon Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has been deployed across the country to maintain the law and order situation due to the security of the people and the blockade called by the political parties.

On Thursday (December 7), BGB’s public relations officer said. Shariful Islam He said, 157 platoons of BGB have been deployed across the country including 20 platoons in Dhaka and surrounding districts.

Meanwhile, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has deployed 418 patrolling teams across the country to control the law and order situation and avoid any untoward incident.

Commander Khandaker Al Moin, director of the legal and media wing of RAB headquarters, gave the information on Thursday (December 7).

He said that 126 patrol teams of RAB are performing their duties in the capital to maintain the law and order situation. Apart from this, 418 patrol teams are deployed across the country. RAB is delivering long-distance vehicles safely to their destinations through patrols for transporting passengers and goods.

Commander Khandaker Al Moin also said that RAB detectives have continued surveillance in disguise at important places including bus stands and railway stations to prevent any kind of vandalism and violence.

Incidentally, the BNP and like-minded parties are carrying out strike-blockade programs for various demands, including the cancellation of the upcoming 12th National Assembly elections, elections under a non-partisan neutral government, the release of BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and opposition leaders and workers and unilateral demands for the fall of the government. Today is the last day of the 48-hour blockade called by BNP in the tenth phase.
